After the presentation of its concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Aston Martin waited for another contest of elegance to announce a striking partner of this super car; the Vanquish Zagato Volante.
Just in time for Pebble Beach, the English convertible which is considered by some to be the most beautiful of the market in the moment, has found its ginormous tin opener and cranked the roof right open. Of course, the product of a fine British sports car will remain for many a dream car, but for those who can afford it, since set to be produced in only 99 units. It is important to say that Aston’s Gaydon has itself chosen the privileged who will be able to acquire its last work worthy heiress of the DB4 GT Zagato, DB7 Volante Zagato, V12 VantageZagato, and the latest VanquishZagato Coupé.
It is true that we see more and more supercars invading roads, but it is not the case for the dream cars, which, as their name indicates, are dream cars that one does not pass through out of competitions and special occasions.
The VanquishZagato Volante was presented in a fabulous red dress of elegance and finesse that could only arise from the Italian-English fusion between Zagato and Aston Martin. Just like the Coupé, it naturally resumes, at the front, the famous grille with the round LED lights entirely LED and the windshield low and inclined. In the rear, it also borrowed from the Coupé the imposing diffuser and its 4 exhaust exits. The cabriolet is distinguished, however, by a lid at the back, presenting two very nice bumps, which define both the style of Zagato, but which serve mainly to house the canopy in English canvas.
Inside, the craftsmanship of the Aston Martin teams is obvious. Leather and carbon fibre were chosen to dress the cabin of the VanquishZagato Volante, for an atmosphere where luxury, elegance and sportiness go hand in hand. The seat headrests and sidewalls are flanked by the signature “Z” of the Italian bodybuilder. For the 99 lucky ones chosen, the “Q” division will be at their disposal to offer them a personalized vehicle and in their image, with all the noble materials that appear in the catalogue.
As for motorization, there is no change, since the Volante takes back the V12 of the Coupé. This 6.0-liter 12-cylinder develops 600 hp, enabling the Englishman to reach 100 km / h in less than 4 seconds, while enjoying, with open roof, the symphony played by all this cavalry.
By introducing the VanquishZagato Volante, Aston Martin wanted above all to please its customers who are in constant search for unique models, but also in a way in response to Lamborghini and its Centenario Roadster. It must be said that the firm of Gaydonn, thanks to its new brand roadster, will allow 99 of its customers to literally spin English.
